What's new besides German pancakes?

Elijah. Hmm. He is always doing something new. He's Robin Hood. That's what's new. "Mom! Run into the forest!" Yes. I run into the forest. Of course I do. He loves to pretend. Make believe. He has moved on from wanting to fly like Mary and now on to using a sword like David and Robin Hood. Fight Fight Fight. Or if it's a fire "Fight the FIRE!" Usually I am the fire. With a little redirection it's all good. The sword fights are still a family ritual with he and dad. Tonight we discovered that one of his swords is starting to break. It's only been a month. Well, what can I say. He plays hard.

Fiamma. Oh sweet little lady. Our song bird. Her vocab is unlimited. You can pretty much chat it up with her. All the time. Or dance. It used to be "bead a book", now it's "read a book". So she is improving and gaining. There is usually no question what she is talking about or what point she is trying to get across. Sometimes it still can be a guessing game, but for the most part it's plain as day. She also can, with help, count to 10. She likes to repeat 1, 2, 3 at times but you can usually get her to do every other number with you. She knows when she has 2 of something. 2 shoes, 2 blankets. Of course, 2 of all her favorite things!

Gratia. Reaching, grabbing, giggler, almost a squealer, a spiller. What else...She absolutely LOVES her brother and sister. Elijah will just sit with her and chat it up. Asking her questions. Telling her things. Responding to her like they are having an actual conversation. And if you watch her, she is just elated. Talking back in her own sweet voice. So beside herself. It's the cutest thing, I must admit.

ears.

Ok. my new favorite. Or maybe it's always been my favorite and I just didn't know it yet. Ears. Not just anyone's ears. Gratia ears, Fiamma ears, Elijah ears. Those ears. Ears. I love them. The best is when they wrap their little arms around your neck with their head on your shoulder. Then you go in to finish the hug or hold. There it is. Their precious little ear pressed to your cheek. It's a wonderful feeling.

I would take any of those 6 ears any day.

Reeeacchhhhh!

Oh Gratia, you are growing too fast. You are trying to reach and grab at everything now. It's great. Trying to coordinate your uncoordinated hands. Shoving toys and whatever you can in your mouth. Are you teething? Perhaps. Just growing. I am so excited to watch you grow. To see the young girl that you become. So far so good, my Gratia.

3 precious babes

It blows my mind when I actually have a chance to sit down and think about how blessed I am to get to spend my days with these 3 wonderful adorable babes. I can baaarely wrap my head around it. They are truly gifts from above. And they were given so graciously to us from our heavenly Father to love, guide, instruct, teach and pour into. Pour into. Wow, me. I get to do that. All that. Another wow. I can barely tie my own shows, let alone be intrusted to pour into these 3 precious babes. What if i mess up? YUP. There's no question, I already have. It will be a bit messy. A lot messy. But great is Thy faithfulness. Glory be.

Trusting in Him; He will be faithful to help us get through the mess.

Keep singing Fiamma!

DSCN3150She loves to sing. With you or by herself. It's precious. During the day you will often find her just singing a tune while she plays, eats, reads-anything goes along well with a song. I think so, especially one sung by her. The most popular ones as of yet are "Jesus loves me", "Chim Chimeny" (Mary Poppins), ABC song, and "Twinkle Twinkle". The one thing that amazes me is that she knows most of if not all the words to these songs.

She's our little song bird.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
