Sanctification

Recently I have become more aware of the sanctifying process that God is taking me through. (Note that I said process. Yes a process. A long one at that too. ) I am not a process type of person. Not one to like to wait or want to wait. I like things done timely, quickly...efficiently. "Spit spot" as Mary Poppins would say. One of the main reasons that I have recently become more aware of all of this process stuff, is because I had been studying through a book called "how people change" with a women's CGroup at church. It's a great book and was so blessed to be able to go through it with a lovely group of godly women. Great godly women.

The book made you ask the hard questions and dig deep beyond the surface sin crap icky crap stuff and get to the bottom of it all and roll around in it. Get your face in it kind of crap. You had to. You have to lose the bubble of comfort, and just face it. Confront it. What is it? What is deep down there that makes you react the way you do? When you do? Throw out all the excuses, like, I was this or because of that. It is not ok to let my situation, my feelings, what I think may be my needs, my fleshly desires decide or depict the way I react and respond to others. My glory, my comfort is not the goal. God's glory is.

God is a good God.

I am so thankful though, for being allowed to walk through it with a group of women. Who were committed to doing it together. Praying together, sharing, holding each other up, loving each other knowing the horrible details. Showing Christ to each other.

so for now, to be continued.....
